As a singer she is known for both her rigor and versatility. As such, she inherits the rich tradition of her father and his gurus Pandit Balwant Rai Bhatt and Pandit Omkarnath Thakur. She is the daughter and disciple of renowned musician, Pandit Damodar Hota. Priyambada Mishra is a Hindustani vocalist who carries forward the gayaki tradition of the Gwalior Gharana.
